University Medical Associates

University Medical Associates, Inc. (UMA) was established in 2003, as the faculty practice plan for Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine (OUCOM). All of the UMA physicians are active faculty members at OUCOM.

UMA's mission is dedicated to delivering health care services to the residents of southeastern Ohio whole providing clinical training opportunities for future osteopathic physicians. UMA medical offices serve as the primary clinical teaching sites for the first and second year medical students as well as training sites for many allied health professionals, such as nurse practitioners, and medical assistants.

UMA medical offices are located in Parks Hall, the Castrop Center and Cornwell Center in Athens, Coolville, Nelsonville, and Belpre. Our practice includes specialists in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Allergy, Ears, Nose, and Throat, Pathology, Geriatrics, Urgent Care, and Acupuncture.

Our multiple locations and wide range of services support the UMA vision of delivering quality health care at a competitive cost to the residents of southeastern Ohio while supporting the missions of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
